Hair restoration with PRP is a completely natural and safe treatment to restore and thicken hair that is balding and thinning. Men and women of all ages will find this procedure is an amazing solution to their hair loss concerns.

Platelet Rich Plasma (or PRP) is created using your own blood. The process begins by a trained health care professional drawing a small amount of blood. This blood is then spun in a centrifuge and separated into parts which include red blood cells, white blood cells and PRP. The PRP is Plasma, that has the highest concentration of platelets, hence how it earned its name Platelet Rich Plasma. Simply put, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is just blood that contains more than a normal number of platelets and is highly optimized to promote natural healing.

This concentrated solution contains many growth factors and other bioactive proteins that when re-injected can help to stimulate many of the body’s natural healing processes such as collagen and elastin production, tissue repair and hair growth. Thereby it can be very effective for mitigating the early stages of hair loss.

PRP has had many uses medically. It is most widely used in Orthopedic medicine to help heal and strengthen tendons, ligaments and muscles.

FAQ's

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?

PRF is considered the second generation of platelet concentrations. The first generation is what we call PRP.
Both treatments use a concentration rich in platelets which are obtained in the same manner from the patient. Once the sample is collected PRP and PRF are both spun in a centrifuge, however PRF is spun at a much slower speed to isolate fibrin. Fibrin makes the final product more gel-like as opposed to thin liquid (which is PRP). The fibrin matrix helps intensify and localize growth factors, white blood cells and other factors that stimulate collagen production. PRF treatment is very focused to target areas of concern while PRP diffuses more quickly.
Studies have shown that PRF lasts longer in the tissue than PRP which allows for increased benefit in treatment areas.
